Testimonials

It’s just a quick line to say a huge and massive thank you to you and the rest of the band for the fantastic effort, energy and entertainment you all contributed to make (what Boots are currently calling) ‘the best Boots event ever’.  We have always seen you guys as ‘top class’ - Boots were well impressed with your performances on both nights, and have all agreed that you played a massive part in making the evening events such a big success.  Thank you so much again, and we look forward to working with you all soon.

Paul Kennie - Senior Event Producer, MediaMaker Limited (International Centre, Telford)

I I wanted you to know how utterly brilliant you all were. I was nervous as I had never heard you play and I don't go round hiring bands every day of the week, your recommendation was all by word of mouth. Of course your demo cd was brilliant but nothing could have prepared me for the real thing, it was like having your own rock concert at home. Everyone commented on how fab you were, one thank you letter said it took them 4 songs to realize it was a live band because it sounded SO professional and then they stayed glued to the dance floor until you had to leave. Thank you so, so much, you made the party an EVENT. I now want another party just so I can ask you to come and play again!

Annie-Lou Balme - 18th/21st Birthday Party (Alresford, Hampshire)

The main reason for writing is to thank you so much for a smooth and very successful event.  The band was fantastic and we received a lot of very positive feedback.  Deborah and the guys were brilliant.  Everyone was dancing all night, the dance floor was never empty.  We would definitely book Starshine again, and would have no hesitation in recommending them.  Please pass on our thanks and best wishes to them.  We were all extremely pleased.  An excellent evening was had by all.

St Edmunds College PTA (St Edmunds College, Ware, Herts)

Words fail me.  Yet again we save the best til last!!.. Sensational stuff yet again: the band's energy is unquenchable, and Deborah’s voice incredible, with lots of stage presence - sheer magic. A huge huge thank you from my colleagues/friends and I for the band always making it such a huge success!!  Truly memorable,

Joanne Kingsbury, HSBC Christmas Party (Sopwell House, St. Albans)

I thought I'd drop you a quick note to thank you for helping make our day so fabulous.  When we first heard Starshine at the Secret Drifter's Ball earlier this year you made a great impression on us and we really enjoyed the way you played and got everyone dancing.  This is exactly what we wanted for the evening of our wedding and we were not disappointed, in fact you surpassed yourselves!  Many of our guests commented on how well you played and interpreted the varied mix of music we had requested.  This was amply demonstrated by how the dance floor suddenly filled up as soon as you started a set and you have definitely got a whole new set of fans.  The bridesmaids were very happy with the way you included their requests in the mini-disc sessions and have asked me to pass on their thanks.  We really enjoyed our first dance to your rendition of "Can't Take My Eyes Off You" - a very special moment for us.

Thanks for a very professional approach and helping things to go smoothly when our timings got a bit out - we never felt we had to worry - and you made sure everyone knew what was happening with your announcements.  Finally, as I commented to the band at the end, it was great to have a group where the members really seemed to be enjoying themselves.  We look forward to dancing to your music again as I am sure several of our friends will book you for events in the future.

Mark and Nell Hughes - Wedding Reception (Waddesdon Manor, Aylesbury)

I wanted to e-mail you to say THANK-YOU!!!!!!! so much for all you did for Rich and I on our wedding day, it was absolutely fantastic.  I have had so many wonderful letters from guests and the wedding saying how much they enjoyed it and how great the band was!  It was just a shame we had to leave before the party ended!  Thank you again, you were all brilliant and I wouldn't hesitate in recommending you all to anyone, it was the best day of our lives.

Claire and Rich Harris - Wedding Reception (Bognor Regis, West Sussex)

We just wanted to say a really big thank you again for coming to our wedding on Saturday and giving an absolutely fantastic performance.  You made our evening, our guests thought you were brilliant and just about no-one left until you had finished playing!

We must also thank you for taking the time to learn 'Hava Nagila' as well, it was brilliant and very much appreciated.  We will most definitely be recommending you to anyone who asks - and many of our guests have already asked for your contact details.

Thanks once again for helping to make it a wonderful and memorable day for us.

Nina and Jonathan Jervis - Wedding Reception (Portlands Park Hotel, Great Baddow, Chelmsford)

We would just like to write to let you know how much we appreciated you playing at our wedding on 8th January.  You were absolutely outstanding.  We loved all the songs that you played and the way that you got all of the guests up and enjoying themselves.  Your enthusiasm made sure that everyone had a brilliant night - especially us!  Most of the guests that we have had the opportunity to speak to have confirmed our view that Starshine 'made' our evening reception - we have received so many compliments on your behalf.  I hope that we are able to recommend you in the future as we would be pleased to and would have no hesitation whatsoever.  If you ever need us to give you a reference, or speak to prospective clients, do not hesitate to contact us.  Thank you so much again.
